George Osborne's night at the theatre

Heads were turned at the Apollo Theatre in London recently, when Helena Bonham-Carter took her seat for Jez Butterworth’s anarchist play Jerusalem. The hit production follows the fate of Johnny “Rooster” Byron, a British squatter and small-time drug-dealer who fights the prospect of eviction by the local authorities. So it was even more surprising, though largely unnoticed, that the Chancellor George Osborne and his wife Frances were also in the stalls.
