The event convenes senior leaders from government, industry, academia, and advocacy to explore the UK’s role in driving a sustainable and inclusive energy transition. With the global push for climate leadership, this event provides a platform to align national and international efforts in addressing the challenges of green growth and economic transformation.

The event includes two panel discussions with eminent speakers and opportunities for informal networking and conversations.

About the panel discussions:

Alan Rusbridger, Editor of Prospect, will chair both discussions.

David Whitehouse, CEO of OEUK, will be a panellist in both.

Additional panellists to be announced shortly.

Panel 1: The Future of the North Sea: Securing Growth

This session will examine the evolution of North Sea energy–highlighting recent legislative developments, oil and gas licensing, the integration of renewables, and the legal and political considerations of transitioning to net zero.

Panel 2: Securing Green Growth: The UK’s Path to Climate Leadership and Economic Transformation

This session will explore the UK’s ambitions to achieve the fastest G7 growth and make it a clean energy superpower. It will address key areas such as international collaboration on climate policy, global challenges in achieving net zero, and the intersection of economic transformation with green transition goals.
