- Director John Fulljames, whose startling take on The Birds was one of the most thrilling operatic outings last year, pairs Tales and Riddles, inspired by the Brothers Grimm, with Judith Weir's eerie opera Blond Eckbert at London's Linbury Studio, ROH, from 14th June.
- Beninese artist Romuald Hazoumé's new piece, ARTicle 14, is now on show at the World Museum Liverpool. His found objects, shown amid objects collected by schools and community groups in Liverpool, form what he calls a kind of "modern-day archaeology" where a culture can be read from what it discards.
- Prints depicting the toppling of statues of Louis XVI and Voltaire and the destruction of republican sculptures in the wake of the French revolution form the basis of "Paper, Stone, Flesh and Blood," an exhibition about sculpture, revolution and impermanence at the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds, from 25th May.
- The best of Matthias Müller's limpid, meditative films, including The Memo Book and Scattering Stars, are on at CCA, Glasgow, from 25th May.
- Dancer-turned-choreographer Will Tuckett's new ballet, The Canterville Ghost, based on Oscar Wilde's spooky novella, opens at the New Wimbledon Theatre, London, from 25th May.
