Perry Anderson is a professor of History at UCLA and former editor of the New Left Review. A specialist in the field of intellectual history, Anderson's classic works of historical scholarship include Passages From Antiquity to Feudalism and Lineages of the Absolutist State. He also writes prolifically for the London Review of Books and the New Left Review. Over the past 18 months he has written on American foreign policy and contemporary India.
