This week, the three main parties launched their manifestos, setting out the policies they would implement in government and, in the case of the Liberal Democrats, establishing their priorities for coalition.

We got snap reactions to each from our panel of experts, which included Peter Kellner, President of YouGov, Anatole Kaletsky, Vicky Pryce and David Omand, evaluating their policy promises and analysing the political strategy behind the speeches.

You can read each party's below:

Labour

Ed Miliband emphasised his party's responsible approach for deficit reduction, while leaving himself room for a redistributive vision.

Conservatives

David Cameron allowed himself to be more optimistic than usual, with some bold giveaways for working families.

Liberal Democrats

Nick Clegg pitched his party in the dead centre of his two main rivals, and offered himself up as a restraining hand in any coalition.
