Eric Lybeck is currently a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the Manchester Institute of Education at the University of Manchester researching the long-term development of higher education in Germany, America, Britain and beyond since 1800. He also recently founded the open-access journal, Civic Sociology, to encourage academics to engage more with the public by solving local and regional problems.
