Jean H Lee is Director of the Hyundai Motor-Korea Foundation Center for Korean History and Public Policy at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington DC. As a journalist, she was the first American correspondent granted permission to join the foreign press corps in Pyongyang, North Korea, and opened the AP news agency’s Pyongyang bureau in 2012
