Will Somerville is the UK Senior Fellow for the Migration Policy Institute and a visiting professor at the University of Sheffield. He has written more than 60 articles and books on migration over the last 20 years and has advised more than a dozen governments in Europe and North America. This included two stints in the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit under prime ministers Tony Blair (2001–02) and Gordon Brown (2008–09) on migration and related issues. He is also the UK Director of Unbound Philanthropy
